HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography is currently very popular technique for creating very intense photos. I think that HDR shows it’s true possibilities in architecture photography because architecture requires very deep details, shadows and color range to emphasize every edge, every small detail and corner of the walls. Here are some amazing pictures that from my perspective are successful and can bring to the viewer right emotions.

Some really awesome shots here. I am a fan of architecture and HDR so put those two things together and I'm a kid in a candy store. I particularly love the older, what seem to be mostly European buildings and structures. So brilliant. Thanks for the inspiring collection!

  • HDR sucks

HDR is gimmicky and over-glorified. It’s almost as bad, if not as bad, as selective color.

Some of them are exceptionally great

I’m constantly amazed at how people, with a combination of ignorance and anonymity, attempt to ruin others’ experiences. If you don’t like something then don’t look at it and move on.

HDR aside these photographs are terrible. The lens distortions are obnoxious to say the least. These are the poster boys for an example of barrel distortion (that’s straight lines looking curved for the noobs)

While I agree that HDR is terrible for the most part, this guy – Going2theroof – is the worst craigslist troll ever.

Looks like some people forgot to take their prosaic. These pictures are cool.
