All good improvements granted, but as an Information Architect, I still find Flickr incredibly user unfriendly. There are none of the nice big, bold and clear calls to action, and the most common functionalities are still hidden away in drop downs or page clicks. For a site that is all about socialising and connecting, it’s shocking that there aren’t the simple updates that Facebook pioneered months and month ago. I regularly load up a lot of images – why can’t I see a simple micro tiled version of all the images? Flickr should be looking to include a much more robust interface along the lines of Picasa in my opinion.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Looks like the majority of feedback has been quite positive, but there's still a stress for faster speed. This is definitely a long overdue update from Flickr, and I just hope they continue with the improvements in the very near future.
